Its no longer news that Katsina state is facing serious threats from the activities of dare devil bandits. Attacks, killings, raping and kidnapping by the bandits on Katsina communities is almost a daily occurrence.

Ironically these senseless acts of criminality are going on despite the presence of security personnel in most of the trouble spots.

From 2015 to date, Katsina state government under the leadership of Governor Aminu Bello Masari had initiated series of peace dialogue with these criminal elements. After each effort the process collapsed.

Governor Masari has severally expressed his frustration over the collapse of the peace dialogue with the bandits. The governor was particularly frustrated with the fact that he has no control over the federal security agencies operating in the state.

Sadly the governor has at various fora shed tears on the security situation in his state. With the current situation the governor will continue to shed tears until they dried off.

Despite the collapsed of the past peace effort and going by the current circumstances dialogue still remained the best option.

Blueinknews investigation in the troubled areas uncovered that the security agencies sent to fight these criminals are not willing to do so.

Instead of spending huge sums of money for their operations blueinknews believe that the funds will be better utilized for the peace process.

Blueinknews suggest that in going ahead with the peace process, government should have other options other than the use of naked force.

After all it is a well known fact that wars are only settled by dialogue not in the battle field.

Blueinknews views may sound strange but knowing your enemy in a round table discussion is better than chasing shadow.

We at the blueinknews supports any government initiative that will stop these senseless killings.
