The Kanwan Katsina, District Head of Ketare in Kankara Local Government Area, Alhaji Bello Usman Kankara, has called upon communities in Ketare District to continue to give maximum support and cooperation in the areas of routine immunization, polio, and Covid-19.
He made the call at a meeting with all the village heads at his palace in Ketare.
The meeting was sequel to the earlier meeting held by all District Head with the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji AbdulMumini Kabir Usman alongside officials of the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency who were at the palace for an advocacy visit.
He said very soon, the officials of the health agency will commence normal routine immunization against polio and Covid-19.
The District Head emphasized the need for the people of his domain to continue to take precautionary measures against Covid-19 which include frequent hand washing, wearing of face masks, use of hand sanitizers and avoiding large gatherings.
He also directed all religious leaders in the district to continue to include immunization messages in their sermons and khutbas during Friday prayers and five daily prayers.
The Kanwan Katsina used the occasion to present letters of appointment to eminent people as members of his District Cabinet, among them are some veteran journalists who contributed immensely to the development of Ketare district.
They include Yunusa Garba of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN Kaduna, as Galadiman Labarun Kanwan Katsina, Jamilu Hashimu Gora of Katsina State Radio as Sarkin Labarun Kanwan Katsina, and Hussaini Danhaire Musawa as Wazirin Labarun Kanwan Katsina.
Alhaji Bello Usman Kankara said the appointments followed the approval of the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji AbdulMumini Kabir Usman.
He said the new appointees will be turbanned on a date to be announced later.
