Katsina police has killed three bandits terrorizing communities around Dutsin-ma and Danmusa local governments areas in Katsina state.
The state Commissioner of police Sanusi Buba disclosed this while exhibiting the corpses of the killed bandits and their arms.
He further disclosed that it was Dutsin-ma police command that engaged the bandits after receiving a distress call.
Buba said the bandits numbering over 50 attacked Unguwar Bera and Mangoro villages of Dutsin-ma local government area.
The Commissioner added that the police team trailed the bandits around Mara to Tashar Gajere where they ambushed the hoodlums and killed three of them.
He noted that the three bandits killed were in possession of two AK47 rifles and 15 rounds of 7.62 mm ammunitions.
Buba said a search party has been dispatched to comb nearby bushes to arrest fleeing injured bandits and recover their arms.
