Katsina govt.drags Mahdi to court over alleged cybercrime

Katsina state government has dragged a Kaduna based businessman,Mahdi Shehu before Federal High Court Katsina over alleged cybercrime

The state Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice,Alhaji Ahmad El-Marzuq stated this today in Katsina shortly after filing suit before the court.

The Commissioner noted that after following due process the government according to him has no option other than to drag Mahdi to court.

He alleged that the said Mahdi has appeared in series of social media platforms making wild allegations of financial fraud against the government and its workers.

El-Marzuq alleged that all the documents repeatedly displayed by Mahdi on the social media were found to be fake and full of forgery.

The commissioner stated that Mahdi was reported to the police following the state government petition where he was invited and release on bail.

He alleged that after the released of the culprit on bail he severally jump the bail and go into hiding.

El-Marzuq advised the culprit to come out and face the law since according to him ” Mahdi has repeatedly challenge government and other victims of his vituperation to take him to court”.

He disclosed that the government will soon filed other charges against Mahdi before Katsina state High Court.

The Commissioner stated that the Secretary to the government of the state, Alhaji Mustapha Inuwa has appeared in series of media chats dispelling Mahdi’s mischievous allegations and setting the records straight.
