Nadada pledges support for youth on fight against deforestation

Katsina State Ministry of Lands and Survey has pledged to assist Katsina Youth support against Deforestation and Environmental Degradation to established a Garden for indigenous trees.

The Commissioner of the Ministry TPL. Usman Nadada gave the assurance,when he received members of the Association on a courtesy visit.

TPL. Usman Nadada who described the Association as partner in progress,said the Ministry will engaged the services of Association in city beautification.

The lands and Survey Commissioner pointed out that, the Ministry intended to plant tree seedlings in public places such as schools, Masjids and boarder areas among others.

The measure is to provide conducive atmosphere and to protect environment from degradation.

TPL. Usman Nadada who changed the Association not relent in protecting environment, called on them to engaged more youth for more progress in the society

The Commissioner said the Ministry received their proposal and provide them suitable lands for the creation of the indigenous Garden.

He advice the Association to be more committed as their project is sadaqatul jariya

TPL. Usman Nadada promised to sunk borehole in the temporary nursery of the Association to enable them nurture seedlings

In a remarks, the Chairman of the Association, spoke on the achievements recorded so far in in environmental protection.

The chairman said the Association proposed to established garden that would comprises nursery, recreational site and plantation of indigenous trees as well as Gallery

He applauded the commissioner of lands for his support to the activities of the Association and called for sustaince

The former Chairman of the Association malam Nura Abdulrahman recalled that, the commissioner has sponsored the plantation of tree in various places

He acknowledged that, the Association would nurture over five thousands seedlings for this rainy season.
