When Katsina journalists brainstorm on child protection law

The media working group of Save the Children International in Katsina state has met today to brainstorm on the implementation of girl child protection law already signed by the state.

The head of the media working group, Haruna Shitu Gozaki noted that the meeting was to make the members of the group understand their role in implementing the law.

Welcoming participants to the meeting, Save the Children community engagement and advocacy officer in Katsina state, Hajiya Murja Kabir highlighted the historical evolution of the organization.

She expressed her happiness with the signing of child protection law by Katsina state government.

Murja emphasized that with the signing of the law it was only the media that could play a leading role in its implementation in the state.
A paper on the role of media in the implementation of the law in Katsina state was presented by Olaide Oyelude.
