23 villages dislodged by bandits in Katsina

No fewer than 23 villages were completely dislodged by bandits in Faskari Local government area of Katsina state.

Checks by blueinknews uncovered that the villages dislodged by the dare devil bandits include, Kurar Mota, Unguwar Bika, Gidan Wakili, Ruwa Kusa, Sabuwar Unguwar, Unguwar Gaga, Unguwar Kwalle, Unguwar Mai Jakai.

Others include Gidan Na Gwamma, Shuwaki, Kogon Kura, Gidan Mukyadali, Unguwar Doruwa, Zamfarawa, Yamfa,Gidan Sharo, Makera, Zuru, Unguwar Mai Dawa.

The rest include ‘Yar’tsamiya, Birnin Kogo,Kahi, Unguwar Gwanki and Unguwar Bakwai.

Further checks revealed that most of the residents of these villages have migrated to neighbouring towns while others have completely migrated out of the state.

Most of the dislodged villages were located in the western fringes of Faskari local government.

It could be recalled that on Thursday the daring bandits abducted 17 women who were on there way to attend a wedding ceremony in Faskari local government.

The women were intercepted in broad daylight between Unguwar Rimi village and Maigora town on their way to the wedding ceremony..

Most of the women blueinknews learnt were carrying babies while sources from the area said the abductor were yet to speak over the condition of the women.

A resident of the area who spoke to blueinknews on condition of anonymity said the security situation in Faskari area has deteriorated.

He noted that if urgent measures were not taken Faskari town will be vulnerable to attack in the next few days.
