Zamfara state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has felicitated with Nigerians especially the Zamfara Government and parents of the abducted 279 GGSS, Jangebe, school girls inTalata-Mafara LGA of the state over Tuesday, 2/3/2021 release of the victims.
This was contained in a statement issued by the chairman of the council, Bello Ibrahim Boko and his secretary Abubakar Ahmad
“This, no doubt followed the unweavering effort and peace and reconcilation initiative of His Excellency, Gov. Bello Mohammed MON Matawallen Maradun and the security agents” it added.
It further said “We pray that as promised by President Muhammadu Buhari this incident will not show its ugly face in any part of Nigeria again”.
The union implored the state and federal govrrnment to continue to fortify all public places especially schools in order to increase the confidence of Nigerians.
Parents, community leaders and members of the public should also continue to pray for peace and an end to all forms of insurgency while remaining vigilant against all suspicious movements.
