COVID-19 Vaccine: Batagarawa LGA Urges Citizens To Get Vaccinated

The People of Batagarawa Local Government area of Katsina state have been urged to cooperate and allow themselves to be vaccinated against corona virus.

Alhaji Hassan Yusuf Machika, the head of Local Government Administration made the call during a taskforce meeting on COVID-19 vaccination exercise held at the council Secretariat today.

Machika, while expressing satisfaction with the Federal and state government concerns to contain the pandemic, assured the support of the council to ensure the success of the vaccination exercise in the area.

Alhaji Badamasi Sale, the health educator and Malam Suleiman Yusuf, the representative of the NCDC, in their separate remarks, spoke on the effectiveness of the vaccine and the category of people to be vaccinated.

Hajiya Rukkayya Muhammad Gwajo-gwajo, the council Primary Healthcare Coordinator, on her part, described vaccination as a shield against contracting diseases.

She however solicited for more support, cooperation and publicity to attain the desired success of the exercise in the area.

Alhaji Muhammad Dikko Dalhatu, the district head of Batagarawa, in his address, commended the state government for the rapid response to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic
