Katsina State Government has debunked a report aired by a section of media on the existence of an IDP Camp in Faskari Local Government area.
The Commissioner of Sports and Social Development Alhaji Sani Aliyu Danlami debunked the report noting that there was no such camp in existance in Faskari Local Government.
According to the report aired by BBC Hausa,a number of families were camped at a Primary school in Faskari town and were neglacted by the government.
Alhaji Sani Aliyu Danlami said as a result of the relative peace being enjoyed in the state,there was no any IDP’S Camp in existance in the past two to three month.
According to him even those who are camping at the residence of their relatives are being supported with food items and other necessities from time to time.
The Sports and Social Development Commissioner said those who were interviewed in the report are people who doesn’t want peace to raign in the state.
He therefore urged media outlets to be fair in airing their reports on issues affecting people.
Alhaji Sani Aliyu Danlami announced that there was no a single IDP’S camp currently in existance in the state and urged the opposition to allow peace to raign in the state rather than making mischievous comments and casting of aspersion on the government over security issues.
It could be recalled that BBC Hausa Broadcast has aired a report on the existence of IDP’S Camp in Faskari Local Government claiming that the IDP’s were neglected by the Government.
