KATSINA AND THE 100 MARKET THIEVES

It is no longer news that traders at the Katsina Central market witnessed their greatest nightmare as a ferocious fire outbreak had destroyed property worth billions of naira.

Going by the level of destruction by the raging fire well meaning individuals rushed to the market to assist the traders in salvaging what remains of their means of livelihood.

The state governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari left the comfort of the government house and rushed to the market as the fire was still raging to reassure and sympathized with the traders over the unfortunate incident.

Sadly while well meaning individuals are busy supporting the traders to salvage what remains of their means of livelihood some unpatriotic hoodlums embarked on stealing spree.

As at the last count members of the vigilante group assisting the traders arrested no fewer than 100 heartless thieves.

Shamefully among the thieves caught was an Islamiyya teacher. It takes his God fearing and upright wife to exposed him.

This development has clearly demonstrated the level of moral degeneration in our society.

Blueinknews wish to advocate for a moral reorientation in our society. The schools and religious institutions must take a lead in this crusade.
