Killings : Rep. Arch. Almustapha condoles Rabah people, donates N250,000

The Member of the House of Representatives, representing Rabah and Wurno Federal Constituency, Hon. (Arch.) Ibrahim Almustapha Aliyu,has condoled the people of Rarah town, Rabah Local Government of Sokoto State,over last Monday’s banditry fatal attack in the town.

Heavily armed bandits, believed to be numbering about one hundred, on motorcycles, had at around 3.00pm, last Monday, struck at the town and killed eleven persons, maimed a teenage girl, rustled dozens of cattle and carted away other domestic wares.

The bandits had upon arriving at the town began shooting sporadically, killing the deceased,some of whom were busy working on their dry season farms.

Apart from the eleven persons killed ,a teenage girl was seriously injured and she was receiving treatment at an undisclosed Hospital.

Rep. Almustapha, who hails from the ill-fated town, lamented how innocent lives were lost to such recurring dastardly attacks, perpetrated by gun wielding ferrocious and lawless bandits.

Arch. Almustapha, who is also the Mainan Rarah,said that, the attacks were saddening, just as the bandits were merciless and callous .

He prayed the Almighty Allah to grant the deceased persons Aljannat Firdaus and give their various families the formidable fortitude to bear the irreparable losses.

Hon. Almustapha also beseeched the Almighty Allah to prevent the recurrence of banditry attacks, kidnappings and cattle rustling in the Eastern and other parts of Sokoto State, the North, as well as other parts of Nigeria.

The MP further promised that, the National Assembly will intensify efforts , in collaboration with the other arms of government and the security agencies,to bring an end to the myriad of security challenges bedeviling Nigeria.

He then announced a donation of N 250,000, to the families of the deceased persons, to alleviate their suffering.
