Eid-el-Fitr: 2, 300 NSCDC officers to provide security in Zamfara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Zamfara state command has deployed 2,300 officers to forestall security of lives and properties across the state during Sallah celebration.
The state commandant NSCDC, Aliyu Bature, made this known in an exclusive interview with selected journalists on Tuesday.
Aliyu Bature said that in order to ensure a peaceful Eid-ul-Fitr across Zamfara State, his command has deployed officers in some strategic places partially in a remote areas which includes, mosques and markets, as well as traditional sports and children’s playgrounds. “Our officials are meeting to make sure that the celebrations go smoothly,” he said.
“Commander Aliyu Bature also assured the protection of lives of the people during the festivals and warned any plans to disrupt the festivities across the state.
‘The NSCDC will not condone breaking the law and engaging in acts of violence, including mindfulness, stupidity and vehicles outside the Salat celebrations”.
Finally, the Commander called on the people of Zamfara State to abide by the law and order and to report any dissatisfaction to the public during the Salat celebrations, to take immediate action.
