Metamorphosis of a Fulani girl: SCI success story

Hauwa Shehu Manzo, a Fulani girl from Karkarku village in Sandamu local government area of Katsina state demonstrate the success of Save the Children International, safe spacing project.

Hauwa who joined the programme as a young girl has now successfully completed her secondary school education where she graduated with eight credits in both WAEC and NECO examinations.

Hauwa have successfully passed her JAMB examination and on her way to Umaru Musa ‘Yar’adua University where she applied for a degree in English Language.

She told blueinknews that despite the financial challenges she is facing with her parents she is determine to acquire university education.

Hauwa stressed that if not for God’s intervention and that of the Save the Children International she would have ended up as one of the victim of early marriage.

Hauwa who speaks, English, Fulfulde and Hausa languages fluently thank her parents, Save the Children International and her teachers for their guidance and support.
