In an effort to uniting the entire Nigerians aimed at ensuring lasting peace in the country, especially in this period of insecurity situation, the reknown Fulani Peace and Development Association – the Fulbe United for Peace and Development Association of Nigeria has honoured three prominent non fulani Nigerians including two serving Governors of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The three prominent Nigerians are the Governor of Yobe State and Chairman Caretaker Committee of the ruling APC, His Excellency, Alh. Mai Mala Buni, the Gov. of Kogi State His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Bello and the Sarkin Yakin President Muhammadu Buhari Alh. Dr. AA MaiAgogo.
Gov. Mai Mala Buni was awarded the Grand Patron of the Fulani Peace and Development Association, and the Gov. of Kogi State His Excellency Alh Yahaya Bello was honoured with the title of Jagoran Matasan Nigeria in recognition of his commitment to peaceful and united Nigeria and Youth Development, while Alh AA MaiAgogo was given the title of Sarkin Yakin Fulben Nigeria.
Both titles were endorsed by the Lamido of Adamawa His Royal Highness Alh Dr. Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha.
They were also honoured in recognition of their outstanding performances in security response, Human Development and Peace building in the country.
Nigeria requires this approach to Peace in this period of ethnic differences and continuous insecurity situation, as it will bring about lasting peace and unity among Nigerians.
