Member representing Mani local government in the Katsina state house of assembly, Alhaji Aliyu Sabi’u Muduru has queried the huge spending on security in the state.
Maduru stated this while making contributions before the house on the deteriorating security situation in Katsina state.
The member recalled that the state governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari while speaking during the launching of the collapsed amnesty program in Kankara has disclosed the huge sums of money were spent on the program.
He argued that members from the security prone areas have confirmed that they could not see the traces of money allegedly spent on security in their various constituencies.
Muduru added that investigations on security spending by the last assembly could not be presented by the house due to what he called ” dirty findings in it”.
The member proposed for the invitation of office of the security adviser to the governor and the office of secretary to the government of the state to give account of such funds.
He stated that insecurity in Katsina state has affected all members of the assembly either directly or indirectly.
Muduru admonished people of the state to intensify prayers for an end to the menace.
