Katsina state government has described as reckless and unprofessional comments on the personality of Governor Aminu Bello by Arise TV in one of its discussion programme.

The television had in one of its discussion programme ridicule the personality of Governor Masari over some typographical mistakes in an executive order allegedly signed by the governor.

Addressing a press conference today in Katsina, the state Attorney-General and commissioner of Justice, Alhaji Ahmad Usman El-Marzuq has described the alleged executive order in possession of Arise TV as fake.

” The executive order displayed by Arise TV did not emanate from the state government. Governor’s signature on the order was cloned, it is purely the handiwork of mischief makers” he added.

He wondered on why the discussant focus more in identifying spelling mistakes on the order rather than focussing on the message.

According to him, what the Katsina government need now is strong partnership by all stakeholders to address the lingering insecurity bedevilling the the state.

The commissioner noted that the government will setup machinery to investigate those responsible for the fake executive order in circulation on the social media.

El-Marzuq similarly advised the television station to always cross check any news item in their possession to avoid such embarrassment and caught in the web of fake news.
